Main Responsibilities: 

  • Greeting and seating guests: Warmly welcoming guests as they arrive, escorting them to their tables, and providing menus.

  • Taking and delivering orders: Accurately recording guests' food and beverage orders, ensuring special requests or dietary restrictions are noted, and relaying the orders to the kitchen and bar staff.

  • Serving food and beverages: Promptly delivering orders to guests' tables, ensuring accuracy, and providing exceptional customer service throughout the dining experience.

  • Offering menu recommendations: Familiarizing oneself with the menu and confidently suggesting popular or specialty items to guests, as well as answering any questions they may have.

  • Providing assistance and addressing inquiries: Responding to guests' needs, inquiries, and concerns in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive and enjoyable dining experience.

  • Clearing and resetting tables: Clearing tables of used dishes, utensils, and glassware in a timely manner, and setting up tables for the next guests according to established standards.

  • Collaborating with team members: Communicating effectively with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure efficient service and a smooth dining experience for guests.

  • Processing payments: Accurately calculating guests' bills, processing payments, and handling cash and credit transactions responsibly.

  • Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene: Assisting in the overall cleanliness of the dining area, ensuring tables, chairs, and floors are clean and presentable, and adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.

  • Upselling and suggestive selling: Identifying opportunities to upsell menu items or suggest additional offerings such as desserts, beverages, or promotional specials to enhance the guests' experience and increase sales.

  • Adhering to policies and regulations: Following all restaurant policies, procedures, and regulations, including those related to health and safety, alcohol service, and customer service standards.

  • Providing feedback: Communicating guest feedback and preferences to management, assisting in continuous improvement efforts to enhance service quality.

Qualifications:

  • Customer service skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service, address guests' needs, and handle inquiries and concerns in a professional and friendly manner.

  • Professional demeanor: Presenting oneself in a polished and professional manner, demonstrating a positive attitude, and maintaining composure in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

  • Attention to detail: Being attentive to guests' orders, special requests, and dietary restrictions, ensuring accuracy in order taking and delivery.

  • Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with team members, including kitchen and bar staff, to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.

  • Multitasking: Demonstrating the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, such as taking orders, delivering food and beverages, and attending to guests' needs in a timely manner.

  • Adaptability: Being flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances, such as adjusting to different dining sections, handling rush hours, or accommodating special events.
